I agree, and disagree.

Yes, the World has always been multicultural. Cultures are fine, as long as they're kept apart.
They cannot merge successfully. They can't mix.

No, wars are not about culture and they don't care what cultures are hurt during them.
Wars are about power and greed.
Wars are between "them men". They are not between cultures.

If you want to see a good example of how it is not working and all want to live in their own enclaves and not want to mix, you only have to visit some of the large town or cities where you can find seperate districts full of Caribbean, Chinese, Curry Restaurants, Takeaways, own food shops etc.

Full because all the original occupants who own the premises have moved to pastures new!

There has been a load of bother up and down the country, with folk using Bonfire night has an excuse to cause bother, particularly in Scotland.

LINK
LINK

Is this because the Palestinians are being allowed to cause trouble on the streets of Britain during their 'hate' marches, but if the white indigenous folk, say so much as a boo to a goose about it, they get locked up.

Folk are just about getting to the end of their tether as regards all this immigration, and these multi generational immigrants who are now causing trouble, and the more they get away with it, the more emboldened they will become, and they will try to take over the country.

Am I being racist, or am I just saying what is happening ?

The racism lies in the anti semitism clear in these marches. . 'From the river to the sea .....' We've heard the chant and we know what it means . This is not our war . Why are they on our streets with their foreign problems. .
Little doubt whipped up by the Socialist Workers Party . They really do have a problem with the Jews . Is there ever a protest where their banner line isn't on a placard ? Anarchy is their game .
Prepare for Kristellnacht in our own country .

It’s like saying, “I don’t support Man Utd but I like talking about them”

Racism happens both ways as friends and I found out in the Citizen Khan/Peaky Blinders district of Birmingham when our mini bus got caught up in slow moving traffic and we were subjected to terrible racist abuse from some of the local fundimentalists which was not very nice. We were on the verge of calling the police when the traffic speeded up and we got away just in time before any possible real trouble occurred.

People in places like Wigan with their very little immigrant populations and have never visited many of the districts of the larger towns and cities with large immigrant populations have not got a clue about what it is like in many of them.

It's like entering a foreign country!

I lived down south near London 1980s , didn't just drive past it, used to go to most areas one was speakers corner on a sunday the speakers used to walk round with a pair of step ladders or a box then stand on them and start preaching, all from different countries and religions , they hated each other ,some times the police had to calm it down , because they all had there own supporters ,now it looks like its spread

So let me put my shekel into this debate !!
The pro Palestinians march is being called a peace march asking for a ceasefire... If you ask the ones who are protesting about the war what they think about what hamas did on the 7 oct they say that hamas is a terrorist organization and what they did was wrong..... so why don't they call on hamas for the release of kidnapped victims as well as the ceasefire.... Then the Jew/ Israel would join them on the march asking for a ceasefire....

when it come to Multiculturalism and does it work???? Look at Israel
we have black jews white jews jews from Poland and Arab countries, Iran, Turkey and Central Asia. Ethiopian and Indian-Jewish ETC so same religion but from different culture what connects them is religion not culture So your argument is flawed......

i think it's small island culture!!! From people who are born and die in the same area and never interact with different cultures or try to.... I don't think it's racism may be White supremacy..... Same thing happened with Brexit....

i will tell you all about something a lot may not know!!!
When i sometime come over to the uk to go to Jewish fundraising events in London at the end of the night they would sing the israeli national anthem Hatikvah....But then they would sing God save the Queen... one time i asked why??? i was told that its because they appreciate how much the country has given to them....

Peter Israel

It is culture that creates division. Most of our immigrants from time immemorial have lived peacefully amongst us and integrated into society. The problem comes from cultures that are alien to the western way of life.
The Brexit vote happened because Mrs. Merkel refused to give David Cameron temporary relief from European migration to the UK arising from freedom of movement across the EU. There is no doubt that the request today would be granted by the German Chancellor.
Over the last 25 years the UK population has increased by more than the population of Israel. The net result is a drastic shortage of housing, an overloaded health service and unrelenting pressure on all public services.
The UK resistance to more immigration is driven by the above factors, not race or colour or white supremacy.
You do most, if not all of us, a disservice by describing us as having a little island culture. It’s certainly not my experience of the people I know or have met across the UK. Nor is it a view I’ve experienced from meeting people overseas during 30 years of extensive business and personal travel.

the brexit vote happened because cameron got sick of party back benchers & farage bleating about it at party conferences & in the EU parliament & thought he could win the vote which he got wrong like most things he did . then we got the lies from farage , johnson & his co horts which has been proven ever since we left . no one can honestly say we are better off than we was before that vote which was mainly a racist vote & the likes of failing grayling coming on tv & lying about the £350 million p/w that would go into the NHS which has yet to see any of it . get real & the farmers are just realising that they were sold down the river with false promises of subsidies they would get if we came out of the EU . wot a load of rubbish you lot got hoodwinked into & dragged down the garden path, isnt that right 1stroke .

We have 4% unemployment i can walk into a doctor off the street no waiting time we have schools for all plus more for the religion Israel has built for the increases
You can.t still believing this tosh about it's all because of immigrants????? you can check all this online ,,Gaffer how many languages do you speak??? i speak 2 my wife speaks 6 how many British do you know who speaks more then One.... 90% of the people i know here speak at least two.... that's what i mean by little island culture the British don't even try to learn a bit of the language when they go on holiday even a few words .... is this arrogance??? not even trying to communicate with someone in there own language.... i always look at it like would i go into someone's house and put may feet on there table because that what i do at home NO ?? a bit of a rant

Peter

UK population 1998 58.49 million
25 years later 67.74 million
Increase 9.25 million

Percentages are irrelevant because the increase in numbers
of people is not homogeneous across the UK.
Tower Hamlets in London has seen its population grow by 25% over the past 10 years. Bangladeshi immigrants account for a third of the population.
Nearer home the population of Oldham has more than doubled from 2001 to 2021.
None of the figures include the under the radar illegal migrants which is estimated to be as high as 1.2 million, the highest in Europe.
In my business travel days I could speak a reasonable coverage of French, German and Italian plus a smattering of Afrikaans.

Gaffer your argument does not hold water what ever way you look at it....
Israel has had more immigrants over the last 10 years by % of Population then the uk has had 50 years its in black and white if you take a look at houses you only built 200000 2022-23 israel built 77000 the uk is 6 times as big 6x 77000= 462000 israel built twice as mush as the uk and that is across the board and that what ever you look at schools hospitals Etc
you should be asking your self why??? instead of trying to find excuses of your gov and asking were is all the tax money going and don't say the NHS we also have more beds per % of Population as well

Peter is comparing apples and pears.
Israel is a much younger country than the UK with median ages of 29 and 41 respectively. This offers significant savings on welfare and pension costs.
Thay have a supply of cheap Palestinian labour without the added costs of housing and employee benefits. The Americans provide subsidies to the Israeli armed forces averaging just under £3 billion per year. On a pro rata basis that would be worth £ 18 billion to the UK.

History of the MPS before privatisation.

The MPS was introduced in 1952. The Rules of the Scheme set out in detail the benefits payable to members. Contributions before April 1975 were paid on a flat-rate basis, with members paying no more than 20p per week. Benefits payable in respect of membership before April 1975 were therefore relatively small.

After 1975 the contributions members paid, and the benefits that were earned, were both linked to the salary that a member received, providing a higher level of benefits as a result of the higher contribution paid. The contributions paid by a member did not cover the full cost of providing the benefits, so British Coal paid the “balance of the cost of the benefits”.

British Coal’s contributions went up or down over time based on the amount needed to pay benefits. In the late 1980s and 1990s, many pension schemes found that their investments had performed better than expected and they had more money than was needed to pay the benefits due to members. In the MPS, these surpluses were used to give Scheme members additional benefits and to reduce the level of contributions paid by the employer.

Following privatisation at the end of 1994, the Scheme was closed to further contributions. The Government took over the role as Guarantor for the Scheme from British Coal. The Scheme had a surplus in 1994 and 50% of this surplus was used to enhance members’ pensions immediately, with the other 50% being payable to the Guarantor. The Guarantor agreed to leave its share of pre-privatisation surpluses in the Scheme as the Investment Reserve. This was to be paid to the Guarantor over a 25-year period to 2019, but this was extended to 2029 following the additional Actuarial Valuation in March 2013

The MP is saying exactly what I posted, it’s just another confirmation of the fact.
Unfortunately the most serious reading matter you have had as an adult is the Daily Mirror. It’s left you ill equipped to debate topics of any persuasion.
When I posted that the Employers had gifted their 50% share of the pension surplus for two years you said that wasn’t true.
