bank charges

Which magazine saying banks are overcharging on current accounts and now banks are thinking of putting a charge on ALL current accountsIs it time we all got paid the old fashioned way with cash and cut the middle man out(the bankers)

is,nt it typical of these bandit bankers . they nearly bankrupt the country & then shove the blame for it on us .they must think that they are doin us a favour by banking with them.

I was watching a news report about this yesterday, and basically the reason we have free banking is due to the charges that banks apply to accounts - ie: the daily charges for overdrafts etc. If everyone remained in the black I daresay they would begin to apply charges for withdrawals at cashpoints etc.

At the moment the banks are reluctant to take the first step to charge for banking - as folk would very quickly close their accounts and take their money elsewhere - I wonder if that would cause another banking crisis?

If they started charging me for withdrawing MY money, thats the day it goes under the mattress,and bugger the lot of them.
