Animal In A Laundry Hamper

Started by: dostaf (inactive)

Which comedy series featured a scene in the vet's where somebody had a large basket with an unseen animal in it?

Bit of slapstick acting, kept pretending the animal had grabbed the owner's hand. There may even have been an accomplice inside the hamper.

The Goodies did something similar, but I think there was a more protracted scene done by someone else. Possibly Tommy Cooper.

I'm struggling to fiind a decent pic of one, let alone the comedy scene. I'm even wondering it it was a Python sketch. (Cue snake charming basket pic)

They hid the stiff in one, in a Fawlty Towers episode.

No animals in our laundry basket, Dostaf. (But ironing is one of my pet hates. Not really.)

Again with the ironing. Jo Anne.

See 5:00 on. Not exactly what I wanted, but food for thought.

Mac, are you thinking of Blanco, in Porridge who mentioned a pair of twins (male). Gouldn't remember the surname of the second one. Fletch told him.

B "Do you know him then?"

F "Only through his brother"
