Great scenes.

If Leigh got back in superleague,it may bring die hard RL people like me back to the game.

Yet RL continues to decide places in the boardroom instead of on the pitch.

Come on Jay, give us a clue - what are you on about? Places on the bus / in a queue or promotion and relegation. Whichever it is, explain how the RL decides them.....

I thought Halifax were robbed, some really dodgy decisions went against them

Cant wait to see what Robbie (hunter) Paul has to say about S.L. tomorrow

He should be a politician, coz he cant answer a question without trying to go all around the world, and then not comment about what he's been asked....this is what we are all paying our TV license for...at least Noble with all his experience talks sense, respect to Mr Noble

Good game to watch although some of the refereeing decisions for both sides were poor. Hope that the people of Leyth now get behind the team and help them push for a place in Superleague. Would be great to have an equal number of North West clubs instead of all the Yarkshire clubs and besides this it would help us increase our home attendances

Peawapp arrived back in the early hours a trifle inebriated following the match I had a pint or three, much to my son-in-law's displeasure as he had to drive me back home.I am now awaiting my taxi, for the airport very pleased having seen my team tick the box required for super league application, with regards to the day itself I was in the No 1 club pre match and took up my position behind the props at 4-30, the referee Mr thomason I thought seemed to lean very heavily towards the Yorkies. as do all referees, however the mighty Centurions took this bias in their stride and marched through to a very well deserved victory .I will have to leave you all now for a couple of weeks but will doubtless return to these pages two weeks hence to give you all my totally unbiased views on any subject that you care to mention.

Boxing and martial arts, play an occasional five a side, used to play a bit of rugby.

I don't think that's unusual.

My eldest plays football, does Karate and plays a bit of RU.

Why is this all unusual to you?I think an active life is normal.Your posts say a lot about your sad empty life,no exercise, days spent drinking, smoking bacca and betting on 'nags' in corals.

It's your poor dog i feel sorry for.

I have a glass of wine or cider when the kids are in bed and have a punt with paddypower.

The Weasel drinks, gambles and smokes his giro away.He think having a life is getting in the pub early.

No wonder he lives on his own with his poor dog.

Tell me why it sounds so strange to you?

If someone in their 30's posted that on here,i'd say that was a pretty normal existance.

The days of people spending their lifes smoking and drinking are gone.Hence all the pub you see shutting down...

The only times you see the pubs regularly packed in Springfield now are on match days.

'Yet RL continues to decide places in the boardroom instead of on the pitch'

Jono, now the idiot weasel has passed out after his morning cider intake, ill answer your question.

SL getting rid of promotion and relegation may be a fatal blow for the long term future of the game. The criteria system means what happens off the pitch is equally or more important than what happens on it.Look how well the new SL club Widnes is doing this year? Results don't seem to even matter to them because their franchise is secured for the new season.

Nobody is more disappointed than me about the farce that Rugby League has become.

As a result of the franchise system, Widnes have had more time to recruit better class players for the switch from the semi professional Championship to the professional Super League as there is now a increasing gap in playing standards. The system is not perfect, but it stops the 'yo-yo effect of club's being promoted and then going straight back down again.

How long will it be before the 'Premiership' in football introduce the same system, especially after what happened to Portsmouth, Charlton Athletic and Southampton when they were relegated and ended up in a financial mess.

Stick to watching your beloved Latic's instead of making comments on things you don't understand!

RD!,i know more about RL than you'll ever know son.

The taking away of promotion and relegation has decreased and not increased playing standards. The clubs at the bottom no longer have much of an incentive to win once the play offs are missed and promotion in the division below has been taken off the pitch and taken into the boardroom.

I'm furious with the way the administrators have wrecked the great game of rugby league.

But, you only watch the game on TV with your glass of wine or cider!

Hardly a qualification of knowing more then someone who has spent more time watching all levels of the game at Central Park and the DW Stadium over a period of 41 years.

Plus Edge Hall Road, Robin Park Stadium, Clarington Park and other local amateur RL grounds.

Not bad, for someone born in Bolton, is it.

Don't ruffle my feathers or I will get annoyed!
