The system is not perfect, but it stops the 'yo-yo effect of club's being promoted and then going straight back down again.

How long will it be before the 'Premiership' in football introduce the same system, especially after what happened to Portsmouth, Charlton Athletic and Southampton when they were relegated and ended up in a financial mess.
