They shall not grow old

A couple of days ago I recorded a tv program called They shall not grow old and I have just watched it. It is a documentary about WW1 and it is fantastic , the black and white film has been remastered in colour with some never seen before footage at one point I thought it was a modern enactment but its not its original. Some of it is gory but it shows with realism the madness of war. Fascinating.

Saw it when it premiered last year and was moved by the experience of seeing those men and boys come to life in colour. An excellent tribute to those people of the Great War.
