I would just like to inform anyone on this site tread very ,very carefully should you want to buy a suite from them make sure you get all in writing ,for i have had a problem with my settee and after a couple of visit's from them was told that the problem would be solved. But after a phone call today from them ,GUESS what they are now saying it is out of warranty ,but we reported the problem whilst under warranty ,and was told try NOT SITTING ON THE PROBLEM ! They are now saying that the fault does not come under warranty ( all foam under the fabric is wrinkled ) and thats the excuse from them that it's not covered when i was told it was .. SO AGAIN PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU ARE GOING TO CHANGE YOUR SUITE FROM THEM !!!!!GB

Quite the opposite from Furniture Village......I bought a recliner, chair, settee & footstool & waited 21 weeks for it to be made & the recliner after 4 days looked years old.I reported it & they replaced it,I waited 18 weeks for it to be made. After 4 days same thing it looked years old.I reported it again & waited another 20 weeks for a leather version which I'm delighted with, they were really good

We have always bought furniture from Alan Grundy, in Ince and then Wigan, when he closed we went to Speaks of Blackrod, never had a problem from either, I dont think we will ever need anything else.

Golden bear, are you still fighting. When my conservatory was built it was guaranteed two years with the company that built it and then with a reputable insurance thereon. My kitchen drain was blocked and a friend of my sons put a camera down and it turned out when they were doing the footings they broke one of the pipes leaving a big hole, left it, and it gradually filled up with rubbish. I contacted the insurance company who told me the base was nothing to do with them but my house insurance. I looked up in my dictionary the definition of base and sent an email to them telling them the base was part of the conservatory and surprise surprise they backed down. It was ages I had to prove every step of the way how I had paid, the company who built it would only accept payment by cheque but thankfully i stilled had my cheque stubs. But the repair was done. If I know I’m right I won’t give up and I’m not frightened of taking on these big companies who try to walk all over us. Keep fighting.

You only have to watch the television programme about the High Court Sherriff's to see how many individuals and companies today do not want to pay out even when they are in the wrong.

They even ignore County Court Orders because they know that most people will let the matter drop.

But many do not, even if they have to pay fees for high court enforcement officers to get the money or goods back for them.

They are getting away with millions and the Government is doing nothing about it!
