-BRAND NEW COMPLETE SET OF CLUTCH BOLTS

FOR THE FOLLOWING MODELS OF VEHICLE:

So far, so good. Can't complain about that guarantee!
Ordered over the phone and paid extra for next day delivery.
Then I got an e-mail, confirming the order and an invoice for the money I'd paid.
And this is what it says .....

When the clutch kit arrives, I'm going to put this before the Trading Standards and see what they say!
You see, I've used this company before and (me daft enough to keep paying them!) this won't be the first time I've had trouble with them.
Bloody wrong-uns they are!

send the clobber back to em- if purchased online you're entltled to cooling off period of 14 days by law under consumer contract regulations if it wasn't bought from a private individual. you might have to pay the postage like

The same kit from Euro Car Parts is £474 odd.
I paid £239 odd, so I don't want to send it back. I'm just pointing out how thay promise a 4 year 40,000 mile warranty, then they tell you you have to pay for it!

The (4 YEARS/ 40,000 MILE WARRANTY) is from the manufacturer of the product, not 'Nationwide Clutch Distributors UK' and in their terms and conditions you have to refer to the manufacturer of the components for their terms and conditions of their warranty.

Tonker, did you read the reviews before using them, and if so why did you still buy from them, was it because they wus cheap.??

After reading those reviews I certainly wouldn't be spending good money after bad on any "extended warranty".
Either send it back or fit it and keep your fingers crossed it lasts!

Yes, peebee, I've read the reviews before. You see, I've had clutches from them over the years, and paid a third of the price of main dealers or retailers.
Only time will tell (and he shot an apple off his lad's yed! )

Anyroad,, I worked in a car parts shop, and we would order stuff for folk who wanted to fix their cars themselves, and one or two garages who were a pain in the rectum.

Clutches, exhausts systems and bits, water pups, radiators etc, any stuff we didn't keep in stock, and back in the day I learned that some component manufacturers were better than others, like for instance, and although they weren't an auto component, but Binatone Radios came with a guarantee, the guarantee was that they didn't work, they were guaranteed not to work

So clutch wise, and back then if someone wanted a decent clutch we would sell them a Borg & Beck clutch

This is a LuK friction plate, pressure plate and bearing, with a new solid flywheel, unbranded, probably manufactured by a little Chinaman on 50p an hour!

LuK clutches are German made (Jerry built! ) and are very good quality!
Sachs are also German, they are good too. Sachs are original equipment in Porsches!

Borg and Beck are the 'old faithful'. British made, by a middle-aged bloke in a checked shirt and tie, a flat cap, hairy hands, smoking a pipe. Just like they used to be, and just as heavy as they used to be too!
