Statue of protester

Started by: firefox (3239)

Placed on the plinth of Edward Colston

Appears?
Looks a professional installation to me

Hope it's torn down and thrown in the river. But if it is, the people doing it will be branded far right thugs, and not peaceful protesters.

The bames believe they have carte blanche about what comes and goes these days, rip it down and throw it in the harbour and while you're at it throw Mandela's statue in the Thames.

just watched this on the News, The lady they put up was at her Dads house, Her Dad was proud to have her being picked for the statue and said,
" Don't make enemy's of the country that feed you, and this Country has fed me "

They should should have made a statue of him, an honest working man who came from a poor country to improve his life and get wages because he worked,

It is not an officially sanctioned statue, and the local authority said they had no prior knowledge of it going to be put there, and the sculpture was sculpted by a white man.
The culprits say it is not intended for the statue to be there permanently, and the intention is that it will be put in the same museum as the statue which was chucked in the river, and then fished out ....

Question though, was the black power fist not banned at one time or other ?

I actually think as statues go, it is a good statue, I like it, as regards this whole BLM thing, it has gone over the top, and I don't like history being whitewashed (no pun intended) we were all taught at school about the slave trade and how wrong it was, but it is part of our history, a bad part of our history, but it is our HISTORY

I think ALM doo yoo know what that means

"we were all taught at school about the slave trade and how wrong it was"

Or how wrong it still is, not forgetting that white people have been used in slavery as long as black people. But that wouldn't fit the narrative.

#livesmatter

Put a colour in front of it and you are the racist.

Tom

Numbnuts eh!

Slavery was and is wrong, and we or should I say I was taught that at skool, and at the Maritime Mewseum in Liverpool, they had a brilliant exhibition about the slave trade and Liverpool's part in it, I don't know if it is still there, but it depicted a slave ship and how horrific it was, but it was history, it did not celebrate it.

Africa's part "in it" was just as complicit. The white slaves were, of course, given first class tickets to their destinations.

The Mayor of Bristol says the local people need to decide to future of the plinth. so the plastic statue was removed earlier. To a bloody museum!

Google the "sculptor" (3d printer operator) Mark Quinn and his elitist "White privilege" background for more hypocrisy.

Only being stored at the museum till the owner collects it....charge him for the removal and storage ...just like impounded cars ????

So it was 3d print, well that must be why it is so good, and surely the lady must have been scanned by a 3d laser, to get the 3d aspect of it so accurate.

Paid for by "White privileged" Mark Quinn. Plastic is a good medium to use. Very appropriate.

When the cameras were there, she went and knelt in front of the statue of her and raised her fist in a black panther salute. A narcissistic racist.

3d Printing is the answer for the statues at Wigan Pier, the council should 'commission' a 3d sculptor to re doo the statues

Start off with some real life models dressed and made up as 'wretches' poverty-stricken Wiganers from Faggy Lane and Little London.

Scan the models with a 3d laser and print them out using that plastic resin stuff, and then paint them and the beauty of it is that if some scumbag chops off the head of a statues, then you can just print another head for it

A lot of this protesting has nothing to do with BLM, Socialist Action group's have got on board. I spotted one of their banners on I think the first weekend statue removing. The action group were formerly known as Militant. One placard said, Black Lives Matter at the top, underneath it said, Jobs for all, Houses for all. Then there's the anorchists who will do anything for a riot
