be very careful with house insurance,if they ask you have you any valuables over £1500 you would probably say no.big mistake they start going round your house toting up washer,dishwasher etc etc till you have got valuables over £1500.then when you expect to be paid in full oh no sir/madam your valuables are worth more than 1500.you are'nt properly insured.my mates just claimed £1400+ for a burglary got 700+.get yourself down to a reputable independent broker give him your quote and ask him /her to beat it with a good policy.tell them to explain everthing slowly. good luck love.
