i've only just come across this post but would still like to add my 2pennorth.
It depends which camp you fall into wehter you agree with the Royal wedding,Royalist or republican.
I for one am Royalist and thank God for them when the calibre of presidents is so obviuosly so bad.
I was in London the week before the wedding and it was jampacked with tourists and the shops were doing a bomb.
I've been to Paris and Rome and never seen such crowding in them as I did that week in London.
Film crews were already set up from around the world-they need food ,drink and lodgings.All these extra people drawn in contributes to the national cofers.
