Mac..I suppose it depends how fussy you are,but a golden rule with a used book is don't lick your fingers when turning the pages..I've just been upstairs looking everywhere for my M.Bentine and can't find it anywhere..when Beech Hill library closed,someone else took over..(it's now a charity set up)I took loads of books,like you I like reading..you can take 3 books out at a time and don't need to take them back if you want to keep them..now I've got an awful feeling it got mixed up with all the others that went there..it's one of the books I wouldn't have taken..so tomorrow we are going to the library to see if it's there..the only trouble is they've hundreds of books in there,keeping my fingers crossed..if I find it and you don't get one, depending where you live,you could borrow it..I don't mind if you keep it for a year or so...also I hate losing something,I seem to carry on looking for ever and a day.
