Handbags   (The sad, the bad and the ugly. Non-productive stuff here.)

Started by: priscus (inactive)

Have got a hospital dental appointment tomorrow, having been referred by my usual dentist.

Adding together the wait first to see dentist, and then subsequent wait for hospital appointment, results in a wait of MORE than twelve months.

Waiting so long, I am not unhappy about the appointment being for a Saturday. It is good, that scarce resources are getting better utilisation, and not standing idle for the weekend.

I can't help wondering though, if some system could not be implemented to offer Saturday appointments to people who are working. Oldies, like me, do not usually face any penalty associated with appointments on a weekday.

(Unless, of course, the hospital dentist is only providing the Saturday session!)
