I used to sell watches. Anyroadup, here's a watch story (I'll keep it short! ) .....

I was in a place in Walkden and I saw a watch in a thousand pieces on a table. "Bloody hell-fire"! I said to the lad who was working on it, "will that watch ever go again"?
"It certainly will", he replied, "I'm only servicing it".

"How much will this 'service' cost, then"?, I asked.
"Oh, around £600"! he replied.
"What"? says me, "you can buy a watch off Bolton market for £16"
"Yes, I know",says he, "and, d'you know what? That £16 watch will keep better time than this one and will never need servicing"!

Then he told me, "This watch would cost you over £42,000 in todays money"!

I could've dropped t'crab! £42,000 for a watch!?

Then he showed me some more that were over £130,000 !!!!!!! The World's gone mad! Mad, I tell you!
