David, I shall answer your question...
Some of us are supporters - we support through thick and thin. We share in the delight when our team are playing well and winning and we get behind them when they are not. We share our thoughts at what we think went wrong and who didnt play great. We post our opinions on what may be an answer to the problem - constructive criticism. All in all, we support our team through these lower times with encouragement and let them know they never stand alone, we are the 12th player. We 'believe'.

And some of us are fans - we enjoy our teams success but we're not too happy when things start to go wrong and instead of offering constructive criticism, we are quick to judge and try and find a way to get rid of those players that are 'holding the side back' and are preventing us from holding on to that, however fleeting moment of, glory.
