UEFA's statement looks to me to have been prepared and finessed since they knew they were bound to lose once someone truly independent examined the case.
Although a fine is still to be paid it is only there because City were found guilty of not providing information in a timely manner. City, of course, will now point out that they were reluctant to assist a kangaroo court when they were aware that they were intent on finding them guilty.
I am not a Manchester City fan but am interested in seeing justice prevail.
It will be interesting to see whether UEFA now give it up as a lost cause or decide to take matters further. Presumably they will want to read the CAS decision carefully before deciding to stick or twist.
