My first one was a BSA 557cc, single pot, hand change, I bought from a fireman at Johnpit for £6.A big heavy beast
2nd one , a BSA 350cc single pot from Fosters(?) at Scholes bridge.
3rd one, a 225cc DMW from Humphry Moons at Eccleston.

From then on,Wife, Family... Cars etc

All these, before 1960
