People   (Re-unions, trace old friends and relatives.)

My grandparents (Mother and Father)Paddy and Alice Dyer moved from Bradshawgate to Baron Street in the early '60s. My Mum was Eileen Dyer and my uncles were Tony and John Dyer. Their friends around scholes were: Martin and Edwin Gallagher, Joe and Bill McFarlane, Tack O'Neil, John Fallon, Vera and Mick Lyons, Annie Ruddie (Ruane), Philomena Rogers, Kitty Conway, Terry Burgess.
In Baron street I remember the McMahon kids, David Moore, Vanessa Jolley, (Christine Pendlebury, Neil Marsh and the Parkinsons from the police houses on Northumberland Street)Yes, I remember the steps which I roller skated down and the derelict house on the bottom corner of Baron and Bolton Street that was haunted.We played cricket on the "Breid" at the bottom and walked over the fields to the iron bridge over the canal near Top Lock.
