Yes, I think my Sam and your Thomas are the same and March 1920 birthday being correct. Does the birth certificate only show Thomas? No middle name? Why Sam? I've asked that all my life, lol. I wonder why he never shows on any of the registries as a lodger or whatever at none of the addresses he lived at.

He didn't pass away at home on Millers Lane, I believe it was Leigh Hospice back then. I am pretty sure he was cremated, but no idea where his ashes are. Don't know how to find out either. I'm thinking my uncle Charlie would have made the cremation arrangements at Ince. Maybe a mass at St Marys in Platt Bridge.
