Dear Britboy, I JUST CAN,T BELEive IT! You are all those miles away and we must have spent quite a time living quite close to on another. I to did a paper round for the same shop. I played many, many, times on the fields at Peter St. We used to call it on the farm, as there used to be a farm owned by the Barton family and it also had a small pond. Many a time I paddled in Barton's pond. Yes , I used to go down Porters wood as well, do you remember the big rope swing and the little wooden bridge nearby? We had a samll "gang" (NOT like the gangs today) and used to call ourselves the Pennington House gang as one of our friends lived in Pennington House.
