I am just a bit puzzled, are you looking for Holme, or Holmes,? if you are including Holmes in your search, there is a Masonic Lodge named Holmes Lodge in Wigan it is Lodge No 2708 and the first Master of this lodge was a C. B. Holmes, he was Master in 1898, so that could be a date for you to use in your search, as he must have been a prominent person in Wigan to have had a Masonic Lodge named after him. The name Elizabeth Holmes born 1893, that Elizabeth has mentioned, could have been his Daughter as the dates seem to be about right.
