Hi Brian, read about Harold dying on this messageboard, but don't remember seeing anything about sweetpea. I'll have to go back to the beginning and read through it all again. I suspect its getting easier to say who's still with us rather than all those good people who are sadly no longer with us.
When I was working for Gullicks I worked at a lot of different pits in the UK and overseas, and I never found one that had the same 'feel' as what Golborne had.
Saw the picture of the electricians John Marsh, Jackie Greenhalgh, Allan Parr and Dickie Humphries outside the new workshop in the photo section. We moved into the new workshop just before I left, previously the electrician's shop was upstairs in the old building, I remember having to use the hoist to lift cables in to the workshop so we could put the ends on them.
I'm living in Mackay, which is on the east coast of Australia, about two thirds of the way up if you're looking for it on a map.
