Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Millingford brook carries on through Ashton and on to Golborne.It goes past what used to be Harbens/Tattons/Intex where it was still known as Millingford Brook when I worked at Intex.It then carries on to the lake in Newton park.From there it is hard to see where it goes because it is on the edge of two maps.It appears to go into Sankey Brook which then runs into the Mersey.
What puzzles me is how does it gets across the motorway around Lowbank road area.When I went to the Central school we used to run Crosscountry races down Lowbank road turn left into the Skitters.Where Millingford brook ran under the path we turned right and ran alongside of the brook and then came back on to Lowbank road.
