Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

The field your on about WAS between Marsh Bonk and Worsley Hall, Rose Hill it,s called. Its still there, it hasnt been built on. When you cross over Rose Hill,the great divide as we call it haha a bit further down from Pem school you came to the Montrose Hall pub which is now a chinese or Indian restaurant. Pem boys school was knocked down and a bigger mixed school was built. Dick married Julie Glover from Brabazon place opp Blenheim rd, she had a brother Jem. The Precious Blood got pulled down it got to old and run down, dont know if you rmmbr but it wernt a solid brick buildin, mainly timber clad. Dont know if i mentioned Stork was pulled down n all. The White houses were on Norley Hall which is in between Worsley Hall and Kitt Green, do you remember Norley Hall quarry? at the back of st Thomas,s club, it was a really deep pit,we used to go swimming and climbing up the faces nestin. Somethin else you may remmbr, at the bottom of Marsh Green inbetween Beech Hill there used to be a massive rubbish tip called the GANT and a sewage farm. It was filled in and now the Wigan Latics and Warriors ground is built on it. No wonder the Latics are shite, Warriors arnt tho were brilliant haha.Anyway mucka Wiganers are down at Wembley next Saturday so save us some pies else we waint be able tcope hehehe.
