Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Look. Get this into your head.

I'm not trying to 'wind anyone up'. I'm simply pointing out, to Dougie, who posted the Wigan Council coat of arms onto a thread which it doesn't belong, that Downall Green is NOWADAYS, in St.Helens and not in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan.

I'm saying that Downall Green has NEVER been in Wigan Council area and has NEVER been any closer, or further away, from Wigan than it is today.
That is regardless of when you moved out, or moved in, or where you went shopping, or which football / rugby team you support, where your milkman lives, what bus goes past your house or which boy's brigade troop you went camping with when you was little!

Anyone living in the St.Helens part of Ashton, who's in love with Wigan MBC, should move into the Wigan MBC area and pay more council tax for a poorer service.
