Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Again, many thanks for the information and photos, old and new. All of it was extremely interesting.
I haven't been able to upload the old map because it's file is in Adobe Photoshop format. Only Jpeg and Giff formats can be uploaded. I will try to sort it out tomorrow.
I know Stan Sudworth, I used to live across the road from him.
The reason I have been asking questions is because I am in the middle of sorting my family tree. My mum's family has lived in Downall Green/Brocstedes since at least 1790 and I like to link this information with where they all lived.
I do know my uncle Bill lived in Pig Street for a short while after he was married around 1930
Just out of interest, there was a Indepenent Methodist Chapel behind Jack Slater's Pen in 1893 (just beind the terraced houses in Leyland Reen Road)
