Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Hi bert, the Rigby's, couldn't remember their name, he did live with them..they were quite a big family weren't they?

One story I remember hearing about the Rigby's was when Mrs Rigby was having one of her children, and babies were born at home then, it seems the other children were let go in the room and watch the birth. In those days, child birth, like sex and the 'big C' were things no one talked about.. so it caused quite a stir to have the children in the room to watch....True story, I don't know, but one that went around...

Re: the vicar David Abbott.. he should have been sent packing quick style..he was no man of God, he sounds like a dictator..

Like you bert, I'll always be a D Greener, even though I live so far away..but I do have the most wonderful memories of growing up there..
