Considering the explosion was in 1979 Brian even though he was burned and has lung damaged did not claim DLA till 1997. In 2007 he took part in a 10k run and then the benefit dept started to investigate him and took him to court for claiming £12000 which they said he was not entitled to from 2004-07 He was found guilty and was asked to pay back the £12000 which I presume he did. This was over 10 years ago so why has the past been racked up over this.He made a mistake and paid the price. there are bigger benefit cheats who do not get caught even today
