It's hard to understand some of the pernicious comments on this post towards a man who has suffered more mental and physical trauma than most people can imagine. As a 20 year old he experienced a situation worse than most military veterans have ever been exposed to. He survived it, but not without physical and psychological effects. He continued claiming a benefit which he shouldn't have. He didn't deny this and repaid it. That's it, he didn't mug a pensioner, or sell drugs. And as for stealing from the tax payer, well as I've said he paid it back, but I wonder how many of us have supported businesses who get away with not paying tax in the U.K. We all know who they are, but they're still supported by consumers who are quick to point the finger at others. How many have failed to declare everything they should to the tax man, or paid for a service in cash knowing they've got a discount because tax won't be paid. Glass houses and stones.
