Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

It was more like a wild garden with big trees and beehives you know the type to make honey, they cut them well I mean pushed them down 1940s when cut the trees up leaving just big roots that we used as a play area, till they built the houses upto the bell.

On the first plan where you see church, ST they built a wall across to the shop after pulling the bottom row down, leaving just the few houses that you see running off Rectory Road with big gardens to the church wall
