To celebrate my 40 years they gave me £800, I made continental breakfast in the Canteen one Friday morning from 8.30am, followed by lunch in the Wheatley at end of shift, as I was the first man to do 40 years service at Reeds Wigan asked the works Manager was he making it up to a £1.000 as all the sift were going across the road for a bonding session after work, I was putting £200 over the bar for drinks if you say no look on the notice board later, he did give an extra £100 making £300 for drinks. bar man started playing funny buggers but we soon shut him up
