Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Sorry but it's the best place to ask this, whups if it shouldn't be on here ask me to DELETE IT

One of you ex-miners on here must be able to tell me is a pothole as we called them a petrified tree or not, standing straight up in the rock above a coal seam that had not fallen, as I have seen a few of these in my short time in the pit but never seen one that had fallen out of the rock.

Only ever seen the bottom of the of these, ever black shiny round rock in the grey stone
