Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Back at the turn of the year you were all discussing the brook though DG.
Just wanted to say that it's not Millingford Brook, it's Down Brook, all the way through the Skitters till it comes out behind the old police station where another brook runs into it.
The origin of that stream is uncertain but it starts somewhere up Simms Lane End way if I remember and then diverts through the old Garswoosìd Park (New Hall), now the golf course, and then swings back round, 'through' Crompton's pond then across the other side 't' road until it meets Down brook .
On all the old maps it's called down Brookuntil that point
