You’re right Chatty. The real measure, both human and financial, is the number of people who have been infected with the virus and recovered.
There aren’t any official figures yet but the best estimates of the numbers of people who survived after a coronavirus infection is around the 90% mark. Much of this is down to the incredible response of the medics and scientists in developing treatment patterns that have transformed the care for COVID patients. However, many survivors have unfortunately been left with debilitating symptoms.
