Peter, Jo Anne; I have a particular interest in this and have of course seen the film. I was a shoemaker at Lord and Sharman, Pemberton from 1969 to 1973. I had hoped to become a shoe designer as my moonlighting in art wasn't really getting me anywhere. But unfortunate events prevented it and and I left and eventually became a landscape design consultant, which enabled my to put my artistic background to some use. I am probably one of the few guys who look at womens' shoes and comment on their choice!
Anyway, Kinky Boots is a great story.
