We kissed,
and the hurt and emptiness of fifty years past,

was finally cast
to the history
book.

Bury it!
Bury it in the night
snow-

along with the wreckage
of what has gone before.

The roads are empty tonight-
and we are safe here,
out in the sticks.

There is nothing,
nothing more to fear...

And nothing, nothing more
to fix.
