Alan85 the flash(Nical Mere) was still there in the early 70's and before they built the council houses they drilled down and poured concrete to various depths every few feet apart. We used to call the site little boneo because in your minds eye the houses are set on concrete stilts. The new houses nearer Bryn Road are all built on concrete floats
