As George Orwell's totalitarian state told us in "1984"...

"Who controls the past, controls the future." That is what we are seeing.

To an earlier point I made that the rioters don't give a damn about Mr. Floyd or any other black person. They are simply looking for an excuse to destroy. Last evening rioters destroyed the lovely and moving - and much praised artistically - "Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment Memorial," a sculpture dedicated to the heroism of black soldiers who fought in the Civil War.
