But the scientists know that viruses mewtate, so the laboratories who look for mootants, will be looking for it, hence they will know where to look, no doubt by examining the data they have on the spread of the virus, and if they notice a cluster of cases spreading quickly for no apparent reason, then that may suggest a more virulent form of the virus, so they will want to test the blood from those clusters.
