General (General discussion, talk about anything.)
I have just listened to ABBA talking on TV news about the show.
I could not help observing that they definitely sounded their age, i.e. meaning speaking with the voice of an elderly person.
I bet that is not the voice you hear in the performance.
If not their old recorded sound, most likely electronically processed sound is what you will hear.
Once again, I can see this having wings. Music studios routinely use 'pitch correcting' software to render in tune the out of tune vocalists. (it is also able to change lots of other voice characteristics)
So, the live performance, in future could easily become 'Studio quality'!
(I think they will have to start calling them pseudo live, or problems with trades description may arise.)
Do you remember Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound"? It was always said to be studio bound, and could not be reproduced on stage: well! now it can.
