It is alright telling people to vote, but what if none of the candidates are what you want to represent you as is the case in many wards and constituencies all over the country at election time.

Perhaps, the reason why so many, other than those who cannot be bothered to vote are left with with no suitable candidates who they consider the right persons they want to represent them on the Council or in Parliament while others do not vote because one of the two main parties has a massive majority control of a Council or Parliament and see it as a waste of time voting!

Some kind of refom of the voting system is needed to make the election of Politicians at both national and local levels more representative of all the people and not just those who vote for the exsising two main parties as is the case at present in most of the constituencies and wards of a town and city.

Domination by one party, be it in Parliament or in a Council is not good Democracy for all the people!
