General   (General discussion, talk about anything.)

I have never been keen on the idea of the Proportional Representation (PR) type of elections, because it can lead to 'Hung Parliaments' and I hate hung parliaments, after the 2017 cock up by Theresa May we had a hung parliament for two and a half years until Boris finally persuaded Jeremy to agree to the call of an early general election, and I never thought that the 'fixed term' parliament thing was a good idea either.

In 2011 the UK voted in a referendum on introducing the PR system, but the idea was overwhelmingly defeated, but saying that the voter turnout was very low.

BUT, when you now have the Labour and Conservative Parties both having the same useless policies, then for me it is the same has having an hung parliament, because nothing changes, and the problems carry on being problems

If PR was introduced, maybe that could change things
