Road signs on entering Standish from the countryside that is West Lancashire advise that from 30 May 2022 we shall be entering a " Clean Air Zone" where vehicles other than Private cars, motor bikes, and mopeds will be charged a daily rate to enter the area. HGVs £60,Buses £60,Coaches £60, Vans £10,Minibuses £10, and Taxis £7.50.
I wonder if the traffic queues that occur regularly in Standish centre will magically disappear? Fat chance! Just more cost for all of us!
I wonder how much the new signs, are costing and if this will be extended to all vehicles?
Do Burnham and his cronies think they must copy London?
Who are the loonies who dream up such stupid ideas??
