I was surprised at the porkies they let her get away with, without any challenge. For example, she asserted that fracking would reduce domestic fuel bills for households.

Granted that is what happened in USA, but even the companies lobbying for licences to frack say that it will not do so here. Treasury will benefit from fees they pay for licences, and generally, their economic activity will incur some taxation. (Assuming they are not given a waiver)

But the product recovered is theirs to sell at market prices, and they have been honest enough to say that UK production level is unlikely to push down that price.
