The market square should still be a market twice a week and never a car park . I used to help out working on that market for years. Even the traders in those days had to shift their vans somewhere by 8am and they all used the bumpy ground at what is today Millingford grove behind the council office. The phrase Market square insinuates the place is a market , as i well remember it, not a 24/7 car park that it has sadly morphed into today.
