i remember the rag&bone man with his horse and cart but where i lived as a little one in harvey st lower ince my mam used to put red cardinal on the step & the window sill.
this awoke another memory,she used to do our walking day sandles with a whitening and put them on the front window sill to dry as that got the sun.
