I think that yoo and the Daily Telegraph have got your knickers in a twist

Speaker's House is part of the Palace of Westminster or if you prefer the Houses of Parliament, and it is being included in the very expensive renovation of the mother of all parliaments, all of the Palace of Westminster, including the House of Commons and the House of Lords is due to be renovated.

It is going to take many years to complete, and when it is the turn of the House of Commons to be done, a temporary parliament will have to be found somewhere else, in either London or another place in the country, York has been mentioned and so has Wigan, so parliament might be moving to Wigan

The bit of the job which has been done already is the renovation of the Elizabeth Tower which houses Big Ben, and how long did that take, and it cost £80 million, so £7 million for Speaker's House is chicken feed.

The total cost for the renovation of the Houses of Parliament is projected to be well over a Billion Pounds
