It's to do with local dialect.

How many people say bockle instead of boTTle? HospiKal rather than hospiTal, and many more instances, and they're not even aware of it. Peggaling instead of peDDaling. [

I can't say most, as I don't know, but these dialect words are used very often by people living in the general Wigan area, so it's not just an Ince thing. I love listening to people who have a broad accent.

In the Manchester area, people have habit of leaving out the letter T in the middle of a word, for instance Ka'ie, for Katie etc.

They cawn't speyk proper like what wey con!
