Hot on the heels of HS2 cancellation.

Transpennine Manchester-Leeds trains to be reduced by 25%, and journey time increased.

Manchester-London, similar, though figures not given.(other than Saturdays that will see 33% reduction.)

These reductions said to be for one year to improve reliability.

(It does create some headroom so that future bogus claims of improvement can be made: we will get back to what pertains at present, and be told it is the improvement brought instead of HS2!)

I wonder if Sinak will attend that garden party once again, and brag about how much he has diverted spending from the North to favour wealthy Home County areas.
