On about holding up the younger people seeking work, it should be pointed out that at the moment there is a labour shortage, and the government is encouraging older people to keep on working, or even come out of retirement and start working again.

I was in Asda this morning, and I noticed that there were no young people employed there, the management seemed to be the youngest, and they were in their 30s, maybe some in their late 20s, with the rest of the store staff going from their 30s to I would say into their 70s.

If you shop at Asda in the self service tills area and scan and go, just take note of the age of the staff who assist in those positions, and those positions are proper front line, dealing with security and what not, I don't think any of them were under 50, and some were a lot older than that.

As they say, many a good tune is played on an owd fiddle.

So Mollie is not on her own in carrying on working
